You should schedule an appointment to visit our office twice each year for a teeth-cleaning, even if you don’t have a toothache. We will remove plaque and tartar from your teeth, evaluate your gums and soft tissues for disease, and polish your smile to a dazzling shine. We offer the following preventive care services: regular checkup and cleaning, dental sealants, night guards, mouth guards, fluoride treatments, and patient education.
Root Canals
When a tooth’s nerve incurs serious damage, a root canal may provide the only option to save the tooth from extraction. Our experienced dentists have taken postgraduate courses in modern root canal therapy, and we offer anesthesia options to make the procedure comfortable and rewarding. Our experienced dentists perform accurate root canals in only one appointment with an APEX locator. This high-tech device uses a light that identifies the canal better, so we can clear the dead or damaged root and create a strong healthy tooth. A root canal can save your natural tooth structure and is a conservative alternative to extraction. All this is done more comfortably and quicker than ever before.
Tooth Extractions
Teeth may need extraction to make more space in your mouth or to replace a decayed tooth with prosthetics. At West Park Dental Center, we use gentle measures and offer anesthesia to make tooth extractions as easy and comfortable as possible. Our dentists work with an oral surgeon in case a referral is needed.
Invisalign & Clear Braces
Adults who want a straight smile but don’t want to wear traditional braces often choose Invisalign clear braces. Our dentists uses 3-D technology to custom design a set of Invisalign aligners for each patient they treat. You can remove the aligners as needed, and treatment usually requires less than a year. Gum Disease Therapy
As the leading cause of tooth loss for American adults, gum disease is no small matter. If our dentist or our hygienist finds that you either have the disease or show a proclivity (predisposition) for it, we will recommend therapy that can be performed in our office. According to statistics, 80% of all adults over 35 years of age have some form of gum disease. Left untreated, it can lead to serious diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and even premature babies. Proper restorative care of teeth cannot be performed on diseased gums, so we must restore your gum health before beginning dental work.
Our office offers several periodontal therapy services, so you can keep your gums healthy. These services include:
1. Charting and Diagnosis.
2. Scaling and Root Planning – A conservative treatment, this procedure is also known as deep cleaning.
3. Non-Surgical Arresting Therapy – This antibiotic, administered directly into the infected pockets between your teeth, may be applied following scaling and root planning.
4. Periodontal Surgery – If pockets do not heal after scaling and root planning, periodontal surgery may be needed to reduce the pocket depth and make teeth easier to keep clean.
Dentures & Partials
If you are missing many teeth, our dentist may recommend dentures or partials. These prosthetics can be fixed or removable, and with modern dental materials, they look completely natural.
Crown & Bridgework
To replace missing teeth in a row, or a single missing tooth, natural-looking crown and bridgework made in a dental lab offers a strong, beautiful option. A bridge is a fixed prosthetic attached to crowned teeth, so it will not slip out of place.
Pediatric Dentistry
At West Park Dental, our dentists truly enjoy treating children. To support development of good oral hygiene in children, we offer safe and effective dental sealants and fluoride treatments. A dental sealant coats the surfaces of teeth with a protective barrier to keep out bacteria and elements that promote tooth decay. We apply fluoride using a variety of flavors to make the experience fun and interesting for kids. Simple fluoride treatments also improve your children’s chances of warding off decay in young, vulnerable teeth.
Sportsguards
Sports are great fun and good exercise. When we play sports, we are putting our smile at risk. At West Park Dental, we have a team of experts that can create a custom fitted mouth guard that will fit comfortably and protect your smile. Contact us for more information.
Oral Conscious Sedation & Anesthesia
Your comfort is priority, our dentists offer local anesthesia and oral conscious sedation for optimal comfort.
Sterilization Center
When it comes to your safety, we subscribe to state-of-the-art sanitation techniques. All non-disposable instruments are sterilized by an ultrasonic cleaner and a high-heat autoclave. Our self-contained water filtration system creates 99.9% pure water for use in all treatment situations. We only use ADA-approved disinfectants. Each exam room fixture is cleaned and sanitized regularly to eliminate bacteria. We use gloves, masks, eye protection, and barrier covers, as well.
